Summary

"Open Content, Open Translation: Multilingual Solutions" is organised as a 90 minutes session of the iSummit 2008 Local Content Global Commons Track.
The session aims to highlight the difficulties, often overlooked, in bringing open content to new linguistic audiences. Using the experiences of translators within Global Voices as case studies, it aims to emphasize the enormous potential readership for such content, potential which will continue to grow as the global conversation becomes increasingly multilingual. The session will also use time to work on creating useful tools and strategies for orgs who wish to translate or use translated content, and pair projects who have expertise and experience with those who need them.

Registration
